I live with my mother, step-father and seven others in a three-room house that leaks when it rains. I have no bed, mattress or blanket for the night. My step-father does not treat me well.

We have 2 chickens and 2 goats on our property, and we grow potatoes, maize and beans. My mother prepares one meal a day, which is not enough to meet my nutritional needs. The water I drink is not clean.

I do attend school, but my family cannot afford the fees and I have no uniform or shoes. I have a head rash and a bloated tummy, but am otherwise clean. I am friendly and polite.
