Accomplishments
HUGS efforts to date have focused on the small village of Bulanga in southern Uganda. We have worked along side Hope Child Care Programme (HCCP - a Ugandan NGO or non-government organization) to build a self-sustained oasis for the area's children. Our combined efforts have provided safety and improved the lives of the local children.
HUGS has been the main force behind the building of a small community on the HCCP property, setting up a sponsorship program for the local high risk children, and helping to provide an education that is far superior to the area's standards. Along with all of that the local village now has access to health care at the modest HCCP clinic. HCCP is now to the point where self-sufficiency is almost a reality.
