New Online Donation Service

April 9, 2004 - Helping Ugandans Grow Stronger, Inc. (HUGS) has partnered with Electronic Clearing House (ECHO) and Merchant America to provide a new, easy to use online donation service. Contributors can now fill in a secure online form that allows donations to be made via electronic check or credit card. The service uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption method to protect the donor's personal information.

"The electronic check feature is especially interesting because the low transaction fee means more funding goes directly to help the children", said Lawrence Gibson, Chief Financial Officer of HUGS. "Using the services provided by ECHO and Merchant America, we are also able to arrange convenient recurring payments for our child sponsorship program."
